In  the midst of rising inflation, the central government is making continuous efforts to provide relief to the customers. In this sequence, now LPG consumers are being given the freedom to choose a gas distributor for filling LPG cylinders. Not only this, if you are not satisfied with your distributor, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Rameshwar Teli, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, said that LPG customers have been given the option to choose a distributor according to their convenience. .

Let us tell you that at present, customers can fill gas cylinders only from the designated distributor. At present, this facility has been started in some cities only. Later it will be implemented across the country.

Minister of State for Petroleum gave information

The Minister of State for Petroleum said that customers can choose the distributor by logging in through the mobile app or through the OMC web portal. Along with this, customers will also be able to see the rating of the distributor delivering the cylinder. This rating will be decided on the basis of previous performance of the distributor. In such a situation, if the rating of the distributor deteriorates, then the customer will be able to easily choose another LPG distributor.

Along with the rating, a list of distributors will also be given on the mobile app or portal of oil companies. Customers will have to click on the name of the distributor of their area for cylinder delivery.

If successful in the first phase, the scheme will be implemented in other cities

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said that in the first phase, this facility will be made available to the customers of Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurugram, Pune and Ranchi. If the scheme is successful in these cities, it will be implemented in other cities of the country as well. Let us inform that at present the price of domestic LPG cylinder in New Delhi is Rs 834.50. In February 2021, its price was increased to Rs 719 per cylinder.
