Delhi Metro was started in the year 2002. With the launch of Metro in the year 2002, rules and regulations were also made. One of these laws is Delhi Metro Operations and Maintenance Act 2002. Under this, there is a provision for compensation in the metro. According to this law, if a person gets injured due to a metro train at a metro station, he will be given immediate financial assistance of Rs 50,000. Apart from this, there is also mention of exgratia up to Rs 5 lakh, but the final compensation amount is decided by the Metro Committee.
