Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made special arrangements to facilitate participants in the PNB Soljerathon 2026 marathon. On Sunday, April 5, 2026, Delhi Metro services will commence operations starting at 3:00 AM. The DMRC has implemented this change in Metro timings in view of this major event being held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Specifically, as the marathon is scheduled to begin early in the morning, many participants will be leaving their homes late at night or in the early hours of the day. Consequently, the early commencement of Metro services will prove to be of great assistance to the public. The DMRC announced via its official X account that on April 5, Metro services will begin running from 3:00 AM on select lines. Until 6:00 AM, trains will operate at a frequency of 30-minute intervals.
Delhi Metro to Run Early on These Routes
Please note that this special facility will be available exclusively on April 5th. On other days, standard Metro timings will apply. This time, due to the marathon, Metro services on Sunday will commence earlier than usual. The Metro station nearest to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is located on the Violet Line. The stadium can be easily reached on foot from this station. Additionally, Jangpura and Lajpat Nagar are other stations situated in the vicinity of the stadium.
What is the PNB Soljerathon?
The theme for the PNB Soljerathon Delhi 2026 is “Run with Soldiers, Run for Soldiers.” This event is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Army to mark the 132nd anniversary of Punjab National Bank. The event features a 21-kilometer Half Marathon, as well as 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer races. The reporting time is 4:15 AM, and the flag-off is scheduled to begin at 5:00 AM.
