Ministry of External Affairs issued advisory for students and citizens living in Canada, ‘Avoid travelling’

India Canada News: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has accused India of killing a Khalistani separatist leader. After which the situation has become tense.

Indian Nationals In Canada: After the statement of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the tension of Indians living in Canada has increased. Meanwhile, on Wednesday (September 20), the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued an advisory for Indian citizens and students.

It said that Indian citizens and students living in Canada are urged to exercise extreme caution in view of the increasing anti-India activities and criminal violence there. Also, citizens who are going to travel to Canada should also be careful.

Advisory issued for Indian citizens and students

Indian citizens are advised to avoid traveling to areas and potential locations in Canada where such incidents have been observed. Recently, these threats have specifically targeted Indian diplomats and sections of the Indian community who oppose the anti-India agenda.

The High Commission will remain in touch with Canadian authorities

The Ministry of External Affairs said that our High Commission/Consulate will remain in touch with Canadian authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of the Indian community in Canada. In view of the deteriorating security environment in Canada, Indian students in particular are advised to be more cautious and alert.

It said Indian citizens and students in Canada will have to register with the High Commission of India in Ottawa or the Consulates General of India in Toronto and Vancouver through their respective websites, or the MADAD portal madad.gov.in. In such a situation, the High Commission and Consulate General will be able to connect better with Indian citizens in Canada in case of any emergency or untoward incident.

Trudeau made allegations on Nijjar’s murder

Let us tell you that Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead by two unknown gunmen outside Canada on June 18. Justin Trudeau told the Canadian Parliament on Monday that Canadian security agencies are actively investigating strong allegations of a possible connection between Nijjar’s murder and an agent of the Indian government. India has completely rejected Justin Trudeau’s allegations.
