MiniTV: Amazon launches free video service on shopping app, this is different from Prime Vedio

Amazon has launched free video streaming service ‘miniTV’. This service has been launched in India for the first time in the world.




Legendary e-commerce company Amazon has launched free video streaming service ‘miniTV’. This service has been launched in India for the first time in the world. Through this, users will be able to see other types of curated content including web-series, tech news, food, beauty and fashion. This service will be available on Amazon’s shopping app and it will be ad-supported.

According to the statement released by the e-commerce company, after the launch of MiniTV, now users will have the facility to buy millions of products, make payments and watch entertainment videos for free on a single app. However, now it has been made available only on the Amazon shopping app of Android phones and in the coming few months it will be made available on iOS app and mobile web.

This is the difference between Prime Vedio and miniTV
After the launch of miniTV, Amazon now has two video entertainment offerings in the country – MiniTV and Prime Video. However MiniTV is absolutely free and no separate app is required for this. In contrast, Prime Subscription has to be taken for Prime Video on which Amazon Originals, Movies and TV Shows are available in 9 Indian languages ​​including English. TVF, pocket access to users on MiniTV; Comedians like Ashish Chanchalani, Amit Bhadana and Shruti Arjun; Tech Expert Trackin Tech; Fashion and beauty experts like Sejal Kumar and Malvika Sitlani and food related content like Kabita’s Kitchen and Gubal will be seen.

Flipkart has already started service two years ago
Amazon’s rival Flipkart started ‘Flipkart Videos’ in 2019, just like MiniTV. It is also ad-supported and is free on the Flipkart app. There are short films and episodic series on this app. Content consumption has increased manifold in the last few years and has increased further during the epidemic. Users of OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar and G5 have increased rapidly.
