Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has completed 9 years. In these 9 years, the government has presented one or the other scheme on different occasions keeping in mind every section of the country. While these schemes have helped people in increasing their savings, they are also giving tremendous benefits to the common people.

Such 3 major schemes of the government include Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Project. These three schemes are benefiting the common people in many ways.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana

The Modi government started this scheme in May 2016. The benefit of this scheme has reached 8 crore people, who have been given free cooking gas cylinders by the government. Under this scheme, the government gives Rs 1600 for a 14.2 kg gas cylinder and Rs 1150 for a 5 kg cylinder.

Under this scheme, the beneficiary also gets the first cylinder refill and gas stove free of cost. Not only this, at present, the government is giving the facility of refilling 14.2 kg gas cylinder to the customers of Ujjwala Yojana for Rs.200 less. Instead, they are getting a subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)

The government has started Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) to provide own house to poor and low income earners in urban areas. Under this scheme, the government gives subsidy on home loan interest to people belonging to different categories such as Economic Weaker Section, Low Income Group, Mid Income Group. This subsidy is up to Rs 2.5 lakh.

Prime Minister of India Public Medicine Project

This is a very important scheme of the Modi government. The population of the entire country is benefiting from this. In fact, under this scheme, the government has opened Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country, where cheap generic medicines are sold. At present, about 1800 medicines and 300 surgical items are available at these centres. Here the cost of medicines is reduced by 50 to 90 percent.
