Monday Bank Closed: Banks will remain closed in 49 cities on Monday, check the status of banks in your city.

RBI had already issued a notification regarding this that banks will remain closed in the cities where voting will take place during the Lok Sabha election phases. In such a situation, if any of your work is stuck in the meantime, you can complete it on Saturday, May 18.

Bank Holiday 20 May: The fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections in India is to be held on 20 May. In the fifth phase, voting will be held for 49 parliamentary seats in 8 states and union territories. These include 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 13 in Maharashtra, 7 in West Bengal, 5 in Bihar, 5 in Odisha, 3 in Jharkhand, 1 each in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. In such a situation, banks will remain closed at all these places on Monday.

RBI had already issued a notification regarding this that banks will remain closed in the cities where voting will take place during the Lok Sabha election phases. In such a situation, if any of your work is stuck in the meantime, you can complete it on Saturday. 18th May is the third Saturday, hence banks are open on this Saturday.

Votes will be cast at these places

1- Maharashtra: Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Thane, Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central and Mumbai South.

2- Bihar: Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Saran and Hajipur.

3- Uttar Pradesh: Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj and Gonda.

4- Odisha: Bargarh, Sundergarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska.

5- Jharkhand: Chatra, Koderma and Hazaribagh.

6- West Bengal: Bangaon, Barrackpore, Howrah, Uluberia, Shrirampur, Hooghly and Arambagh.

7- Jammu and Kashmir: Baramulla.

8- Ladakh

When will there be bank holidays in May?

19 May: Sunday holiday.
May 20: Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, banks will be closed in Belapur and Mumbai.
May 23: Buddha Purnima holiday
May 25: Fourth Saturday holiday
26 May: Sunday holiday.
