The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued orders to make uniform PUC certificate for all vehicles across the country. Under this, now the QR code will be mentioned in all the pollution certificates.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways ( MoRTH ) has issued a notification to create a uniform format for Pollution Control Certificate ( PUC ) of all vehicles across the country . Along with this, the PUC database will be linked with the National Registrar.

QR code will be visible on PUC

After the changes in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 by the Ministry of Roads , the QR code will be printed on the PUC form. Along with this there will be details of the vehicle, owner and emission status. After this, you will be able to extract all the necessary information only by scanning the QR code. This will not only save time but also make the work easier.

Slip will be given for first time violation of rules

According to the statement, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued a notification on June 14, 2021 for a uniform format of PUC certificate to be issued across the country under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. According to this, if the vehicle has not met the emission standards, then it will be given a rejection slip for the first time. This slip can be used to get the vehicle serviced or to get checked at any other center.
