In the era of the Corona epidemic, the trend of e-commerce has increased. To avoid crowded place, people are preferring shopping with e-commerce. This is the reason why the business of e-commerce has grown rapidly in the last few years. But with this, complaints about e-commerce companies have increased.


Consumers are most concerned about five areas. Among these, banking, telecom, electronic products, e-commerce and consumers bring durable items. Among them, number one comes from e-commerce and banking sector at number two. This is followed by other fields. Talking about the Corona period, since January 2020 last year, more than three lakh complaints have been received about e-commerce. While more than one lakh complaints have been received about Telecom. Most of the complaints related to e-commerce have been resolved against the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.

About 70 thousand complaints every month The


Ministry of Consumer receives about seventy thousand complaints every month through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). From April 2017 to February 21, consumers received 5 lakh 23 thousand 837 complaints regarding e-commerce. At the same time, about two lakh complaints were received about the banking sector. So far in the year 2021, the Ministry has received one lakh 86 thousand complaints under NCH. Out of these, one lakh 51 thousand 844 complaints have been redressed. This means that 81 percent of the complaints have been redressed. A senior official of the ministry said that action is being taken on the remaining complaints. They will also be resolved.
