Mumbai Metro: Good news for Metro passengers! Now will get insurance up to Rs 5 lakh, know the plan

Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) has decided to offer an annual comprehensive insurance policy for all commuters using Metro Line 7 and 2A. After this decision, traveling in metro will be even safer.

Metro passengers in Mumbai are being provided with comfortable travel facility as well as security guarantee. It has been decided to provide an annual comprehensive insurance policy for all those using Mumbai’s Metro Line 7 and 2A. Under this, coverage will be provided for disability and death due to accidents while traveling.

Mumbai Metro’s new line 7 and 2A were already in discussion before it started. In such a situation, this route is very important for the people of Mumbai. Lakhs of people travel by this route every day. At the same time, after the commencement of Metro Line 7 and 2A, the traffic on the roads has also reduced. Also, people are preferring to travel by metro. In such a situation, ever since the metro service was started on this line, some new facility is being started by the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited for the convenience of the passengers.

Now the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) has decided to provide an annual comprehensive insurance policy for all the people using Metro Line 7 and 2A. After this decision, traveling in metro will be even safer.

Insurance policy

  • 1 lakh in case of hospitalization up to a maximum of Rs.
  • Maximum Rs 10,000 for outpatient treatment
  • Rs 4 lakh for permanent and partial disability
  • Rs 5 lakh on death

This insurance policy will provide coverage for accidents, disability and death due to unforeseen circumstances that may occur while traveling on these lines. At the same time, medical expenses due to accidents or injuries while traveling on this line will also be covered. Under this insurance scheme, a maximum coverage of Rs 1 lakh will be given for hospitalization and up to Rs 10,000 for outpatient treatment.

5 lakh for accidental death and up to Rs. 40,000 for permanent and partial disability. This policy will cover passengers having valid ticket/pass/smart card/QR code.
