Mumbai Metro Timings Extended: Big News! Mumbai Metro timings have been extended, know the new timings

Mumbai Metro timings: On the occasion of Diwali, CM Eknath Shinde has given a big gift to Mumbaikars. CM Eknath Shinde has extended the timings of the last two routes of Mumbai Metro. Know the new timings.

Mumbai Metro timings: Before Diwali, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has given a gift to Mumbaikars. CM Shinde has increased the timings of the last train of Metro Lines 2A and Route 7 by half. Now the last metro of this line will run at 11 pm instead of 10.30 pm. It is noteworthy that CM Eknath Shinde is also the President of MMRDA. The first metro of this line runs at seven in the morning. The new timings of Metro will come into effect from Saturday 11 November 2023.

CM Eknath Shinde said, ‘I am happy to announce this decision to the passengers of Mumbai. We are advancing the timings of metro service. For a long time, there was a demand to extend the metro timings during the Diwali season. However, we have decided that the timings of the last metro should be extended not only for Diwali but also permanently. Every day lakhs of people travel by Mumbai Metro. There has been a lot of comfort in the lives of people living in Metro. At the same time, by increasing the timings of the metro, people can travel safely and comfortably till late night.

There will be two additional trips at these two stations, check the new time table.

The metro train at Andheri West of Mumbai Metro Route 2A and Gundwali station of Metro Route 7 will run at 11 pm instead of 10.30 pm. At present, Gundwali and Andheri Metro trains run a total of 255 metro trips from 5.55 am to 10.30 pm from Monday to Friday. This train runs at an interval of 7.5 minutes to 10.5 minutes. Now after the increase in timings, a total of 257 metro trips will run. Apart from this, two additional metro trips will run between Dahanukarwadi and Andheri West after 10 pm.

MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee said, ‘A total of six crore citizens have traveled on Metro Routes 2A and 7. About 1.6 lakh Mumbaikars have purchased One Card. We are implementing many reforms, so that citizens can travel safely. Increasing the timings of the last metro will provide great relief to Mumbaikars.
