This is stated in a press release issued by ICICI Prudential. Prakash Gaurav, fund manager of ICICI Prudential Midcap Fund, says that mid-caps have historically always outperformed in the long run whenever it comes to higher growth in assets. In the last 10 years, nearly 34 mid-cap and small-cap companies have become lodge caps.

Talking about the returns of top mid cap funds, ICICI Prudential Mid Cap has given a return of 86.18% in 1 year, as per the data of Eartha. At the same time, Nippon India Growth Fund has given returns of 74.16, Axis Mid Cap Fund 57.62%, Kotak Emerging Equity Fund 79.86, DSP Mid Cap Fund 57.40% and HDFC Mid Cap Opportunities Fund 75.19%.

ICICI Prudential Mid Cap was launched about 10 years ago. It has consistently outperformed at all times. Its fund manager has long experience of 18 years of fund management. Talking about a mid-cap portfolio, it invests in valuable and growth stocks. Many parameters are invested keeping in mind. The scheme invests in large caps where there are no mid caps.


Currently, this portfolio focuses on financial and healthcare. Especially sectors like specialty chemicals, white goods, mobile, research and pharma are in it. It can also benefit because China is being banned in these sectors. Also, the pharma sector is benefiting from Corona’s disease. This has led to increased demand for healthcare services.
