
Axis Mutual Fund has changed the names of its two popular equity mutual funds. Now Axis Bluechip Fund will be renamed as Axis Large Cap Fund and Axis Growth Opportunities Fund will be renamed as Axis Large & Mid Cap Fund. These changes will be effective from 2 June 2025.
Mutual Funds Name Change: If you invest in Axis Mutual Fund, then this is news of your work. The fund house has decided to change the names of its two popular funds. Now Axis Bluechip Fund will be renamed as Axis Large Cap Fund and Axis Growth Opportunities Fund will be renamed as Axis Large & Mid Cap Fund. This change will come into effect from June 2, 2025. The fund house has informed its investors about this through notice and addendum.
No change in SID, KIM and SAI of the fund
Axis Mutual Fund House informed through addendum (document) that ‘from the effective date all the places where the old name is mentioned will be considered changed to the new name’ Apart from this, all the other terms and conditions of the fund’s SID (Scheme Information Document), KIM (Key Information Memorandum) and SAI (Statement of Additional Information) will remain the same as before. This Addendum shall be deemed to be an integral part of the SID, KIM and SAI of the Scheme, as amended from time to time.’
Money is invested in largecap stocks
Axis Bluechip Fund is an open-ended equity mutual fund that invests primarily in largecap stocks. The benchmark of this scheme is BSE 100 TRI and it is managed by Shreyash Dewalkar, Jayesh Sundar and Krishna Narayan. The AUM (Asset Under Management) of Axis Bluechip Fund was ₹33,218 crore as on 30 April 2025.
Money is invested in both largecap and midcap stocks
Axis Growth Opportunities Fund is an open-ended equity scheme that invests in both largecap and midcap stocks. The scheme follows Nifty Large Midcap 250 TRI as its benchmark. It is managed by Shreyash Dewalkar, Hitesh Das and Krishna N. The AUM of Axis Growth Opportunities Fund stood at ₹13,755 crore as on April 30, 2025.
