New Namo Bharat train: Namo Bharat Train operations may soon start for passengers from Sahibabad to Meerut South station. After getting the safety clearance from CMRS, the operation of the train will be started for the passengers, this will facilitate the travel of thousands of people from Meerut to Ghaziabad and on the other hand, the number of vehicles on Meerut Road will also reduce.
Country’s first Namo Bharat train
The country’s first Namo Bharat train will be operational in October 2023 from Sahibabad to Duhai depot, 17 km from Ghaziabad. Was started between long routes. Just five months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the train, the Namo Bharat train was launched on a 34 km stretch between Sahibabad and Modinagar North in the month of March. Started for passengers on long routes.
12-13 thousand passengers are traveling daily
At present, more than 12-13 thousand passengers are traveling daily in Namo Bharat train between Sahibabad and Modinagar North. After the start of train operations for passengers till Meerut South, more than 15 thousand passengers can travel daily.
Better facilities, relief from traffic jam
Due to non-operation of Namo Bharat train till Meerut, working people coming from Meerut to Ghaziabad and Delhi have to face problems daily. Most of these people travel in private vehicles and buses. They have to face the problem of jam on Meerut road. After the commencement of operation of Namo Bharat train, passengers will get better facilities. They will get rid of the problem of jam and will be able to travel from Meerut to Ghaziabad and Sahibabad in less time.
Construction work has been completed
The construction work of viaduct and laying of track on it to operate Namo Bharat train between Modinagar North and Meerut South station has been completed. The construction work of Meerut South Station is also almost completed. At present, work is being done to repair the signal system for Namo Bharat train between Modinagar North and Meerut South, which can be completed by the end of this month.
Namo Bharat train will run till Modinagar again from today
Due to system upgradation, Namo Bharat train was run only between Sahibabad and Duhai depot on Sunday. Train services remained closed from Duhai depot onwards till Muradnagar and Modinagar. System upgrade work has been completed. From Monday, train services will remain smooth as before from Sahibabad to Modinagar North.
Preparations are going on at a fast pace to operate Namo Bharat train till Meerut South. The necessary process to obtain permission from CMRS has also been started.
