Namo Bharat train will run between Delhi and Alwar, people of Gurugram will also benefit; Know what is the complete plan?

There is a dispute over the location of the station at Udyog Vihar in the plan to run Namo Bharat train between Delhi and Alwar. HSIIDC is not in favor of building a station at Shankar Chowk as there is already a lot of traffic pressure there. A committee has been formed to determine the place for the station and a decision is expected soon.

The plan to run Namo Bharat train between Delhi and Alwar will soon take wings. It has been decided where the stations will be built on the corridor, except Udyog Vihar area.

There is a proposal by National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) to build a station at Shankar Chowk in Udyog Vihar area. This is not acceptable to HSIDC.

HSIDC believes that the traffic pressure on Shankar Chowk is already very high. Also, a Delhi Metro station is proposed nearby. In such a situation, whether the station will be built elevated or underground, the traffic pressure on the Chowk will increase significantly.

Will the traffic pressure in NCR be reduced?

A committee has been formed under the leadership of Additional Chief Secretary of the state’s Town and Country Planning Department to determine the place where the station should be built around the Chowk. It is expected that the place will be determined within the next 10 days. Further action to start work at the ground level will begin after the place is determined.

To reduce traffic as well as population pressure in NCR, there is a plan to develop Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Alwar in Rajasthan. It will be developed along with Delhi-Jaipur Highway.

The central government believes that after the development of RRTS, people who today prefer to live in and around Delhi will prefer to live till Alwar. This will reduce traffic pressure as well as population in NCR.

A committee has been formed to determine the place for the station.
The scheme is to be developed in three phases by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). In the first phase, Delhi-Gurugram-SNB (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror) i.e. 106 km corridor will be developed.

In the second phase, there is a plan to develop it from Behror to Sotanala and in the third and final phase from Sotanal to Alwar. There is also a discussion that in the first phase, the corridor should be developed only from Delhi to Dharuhera because the traffic pressure is high only till Dharuhera.

It has been finalized where the stations will be built, except Udyog Vihar area. NCRTC believes that the station should be at the place where maximum number of people reach from different areas.

Shankar Chowk is the perfect place in this regard. HSIDC says that Shankar Chowk has the highest traffic pressure in the city. There is traffic pressure not only during peak hours but also during the rest of the time.

In such a situation, if the station was built, then there would be a lot of problems in the future. It is said that space is available at some distance ahead of Shankar Chowk. There is a consideration about providing space for the station there. HSIDC Managing Director Dr. Yash Garg says that a committee has been formed. The committee will decide where it would be appropriate to build the station.

Soil testing has been done a year ago

Before starting work at the ground level to develop the RRTS corridor, the work of soil testing has been completed a year ago. Not only this, wherever the electricity towers were to be shifted, they have been done.

Information has been obtained about where the pipeline is, where the sewer line is, where the telephone lines are passing. It is said that as soon as the place for the station in Udyog Vihar is finalized, the central government will give the green signal to start work at the ground level.

Namo Bharat train will run at an average speed of 100 kilometers

Namo Bharat trains will run at a speed of up to 160 kilometers on the RRTS corridor. The average speed will be 100 kilometers per hour.

There is a plan to provide train facility at an interval of 10 minutes. To improve connectivity with Delhi Metro, there is a plan to connect RRTS to Hero Honda Chowk as well as Cyber City area. There will be a total of 19 stations on the corridor.
