Nanda Gaura Scheme: Under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme, the Uttarakhand state government is running the Nanda Gaura Scheme. Under this scheme, ₹11,000 is given at the birth of a daughter. The remaining ₹51,000 is then given when the daughter passes the 12th grade. The total amount of ₹62,000 is disbursed in two installments.
Nanda Gaura Scheme: The central and state governments are running numerous schemes for the welfare of daughters. The Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (Sukan Samriddhi Yojana) is one of the most popular schemes offered by the central government. Similarly, state governments are also running various schemes for daughters. Similarly, the Uttarakhand government is running the Nanda Gaura Yojana. The last date to apply for this scheme is December 20, 2025.
Under the Nanda Gaura Yojana , the Uttarakhand government provides financial assistance from the birth of a daughter until she passes 12th grade. Upon the birth of a daughter, a lump sum is deposited into the mother and daughter’s joint account. After passing 12th grade, the money is transferred to the account. Under the Nanda Gaura Yojana, funds are transferred in two phases. The objective of this scheme is “Educate the daughter, save the daughter.” Through this, financial assistance is provided to poor families. Both the mother and daughter benefit from it.
62,000 rupees are available under the Nanda Gaura scheme.
The Nanda Gaura Yojana provides ₹11,000 upon the birth of a daughter. Registration is required after the girl’s birth. The funds are then transferred to the mother and daughter’s joint bank account. The next installment under the scheme is paid when the girl completes her 12th grade. By then, the government deposits ₹51,000 into her account. The total benefit under this scheme is ₹62,000.

Who will get the benefit of Nanda Gaura Yojana
1. This scheme is only for girls who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand.
2. More than 2 daughters in a family do not get the benefit of this scheme.
3. It is necessary to register for the first phase within 6 months of the birth of the daughter.
4. The daughter should be born in a government/private hospital/ANM centre only.
5. If the birth has taken place outside the state, then the certificate will have to be attached.
6. Home births by midwives will not be considered valid.
7. The last date for the second phase of application has been fixed as 30th November in every financial year.
8. The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 72,000 (Rs 6000 per month).
9. Only the income certificate issued by the Tehsildar will be valid.
How to apply for Nanda Gaura Yojana
You can apply for this scheme only through the official website https://www.nandagaurauk.in/. Documents such as the girl’s name, Aadhaar card, and the guardian’s name and Aadhaar card are required to apply. Applications cannot be made offline.
