New AC temperature limit: Big News! Now you will not be able to set the AC temperature below 20°C, government has set a new limit

New AC temperature limit: The government has decided to limit the temperature of air conditioners to between 20°C and 28°C. This step will save energy and have a positive impact on the environment.

New AC temperature limit: Till now, whenever the heat became unbearable, it was common to pick up the AC remote and set the temperature to 18-20 degrees. But now it may not be possible to do so. The Government of India is soon going to implement a fixed temperature limit for air conditioners. That is, now the AC cannot be made too cold or hot as per one’s wish.

Now the temperature of AC will not go below 20°C

Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently announced that a minimum and maximum temperature will be fixed for AC in India. Under the new rule, the air conditioner cannot be made colder than 20°C and hotter than 28°C. The government believes that this will not only save electricity, but will also be a big benefit to the environment.

Will the era of extra cooling become old?

This news can definitely give a little shock to AC users, because now they will not be able to use the ‘super cool’ mode or the button that gives very cold air. Options that go below 20 degrees can be removed. That is, now the remote of AC can be a little ‘simple’.

There will be huge savings in electricity bill

According to the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), if you increase the temperature of your AC by just 1 ° C, then about 6% can be saved in the electricity bill. Many people run AC at 20-21 degrees, while the ideal temperature is considered to be 24-25 degrees. If more people adopt 24 degrees, then up to 20 billion units of electricity can be saved annually, which is equivalent to about Rs 10,000 crore.

Warm clothes to avoid cold?

Running AC at low temperature makes the environment inside the house so cold that people have to wear warm clothes. This further increases energy wastage. Research has also shown that a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius is comfortable for most people – especially when there is a balance of air and humidity in the room.

The environment will benefit

If even half of the people in the country adopt this change, then 10 billion units of electricity can be saved and about 8.2 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced. This will also have a positive impact on the environment.

Will your way of using AC change?

Now it will be interesting to see how people adopt this change. It is possible that in the coming time, options like 18-19 degrees will be removed from the AC remote of the new model and only the range of 20-28 degrees will be visible.
