These new rates will be effective from April 1, 2026.
HDFC Bank Locker Rent
HDFC Bank has increased its locker rents and also introduced a new Metro Plus category. Under the new system, locker rents will be determined based on the branch’s location category—Metro Plus, Metro, Urban, Semi-Urban, and Rural—and the locker size. 18% GST will be applicable on all rates. In light of the recent spate of bank thefts, HDFC Bank has tightened security regulations. Now, Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication will be mandatory for locker access, meaning customers will be biometrically identified before opening the locker. The new locker rates are as follows.

Rents will be lower in urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. In rural areas, rents for extra-small lockers start at ₹1,000 and go up to ₹8,000 for extra-large lockers.
