New Bullet Train: The Railway Ministry on Monday shared some major updates related to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The ministry said that the Japanese government has agreed to include E10 Shinkansen trains in this 508 km long project. According to government information, the bullet train operated with Japanese Shinkansen technology is currently of E5 series and E10 will be a new generation train. The Railway Ministry said, “Under the strategic partnership between India and Japan, the Japanese government has agreed to include E10 Shinkansen trains in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The special thing is that E10 trains will be started simultaneously in India and Japan. ”
E10 train will be equipped with new generation advanced technology
Japan’s E10 bullet trains will be equipped with brand new and advanced technology. The top operational speed of this new technology train in commercial mode will be 320 kmph. Whereas, its testing speed is up to 400 kmph. There is a plan to run the bullet train in India at a speed of 320 km per hour. Let us tell you that this train will be equipped with earthquake resistant technology. Its L-shaped guides and lateral dampers prevent the train from derailing. According to reports, the braking system of the E10 bullet train is being improved, which will reduce its emergency stopping distance by 15%.
When will the E10 bullet train hit the tracks
The E10 bullet train is a major improvement in terms of convenience, safety and technology compared to the E5, with modern facilities giving passengers a great experience. This train will have a 2 + 2 seat configuration with increased legroom and privacy dividers. Wi-Fi is also expected to be available along with USB power outlets on each seat. The prototype of the E10 bullet train will be ready by October 2027. After which its trial run will be done between 2027 to 2029. Finally, in 2030 it will be launched on the tracks simultaneously in Japan and India for commercial service.
