The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has announced the dates for various teacher recruitment examinations. This decision was made at a crucial meeting of the Commission held in Prayagraj on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar. The announcement of dates for these long-pending examinations has generated enthusiasm among candidates.
Assistant Professor Exam to be Held on This Date
As per the schedule finalized in the meeting, the 2022 Assistant Professor Recruitment Exam will be held on April 18th and 19th. This exam is being conducted for recruitment to Assistant Professor positions in degree colleges and universities under the Higher Education Department. Candidates have been waiting for this recruitment for quite some time, and the announcement of the dates is considered a major relief for them.
PGT dates also announced
Following this, the PGT recruitment exam will be held on May 9th and 10th. This exam will be for recruitment to lecturer positions in inter-college institutions under the Secondary Education Department. There had been considerable confusion regarding the PGT exam for a long time, but the Commission has now clarified it. The Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) recruitment exam will be held on June 3rd and 4th. The TGT exam recruits teachers in various subjects at the high school level, and a large number of candidates from across the state participate in this exam.

In addition, the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) will be held on July 2, 3, and 4. Passing the UPTET is mandatory to become a teacher at the primary and upper primary levels. Lakhs of candidates appear for this exam every year. The Commission stated that all exams will be conducted with complete transparency and in accordance with the established regulations. Preparations for exam centers, security arrangements, and other administrative aspects were also discussed in the meeting. The Commission’s goal is to conduct exams on time and expedite the recruitment process to address the teacher shortage in the state’s schools and colleges.
