SBI Debit Card Charges Explained: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest lender, charges a fee of up to Rs 425 (excluding GST) for the issuance, replacement, or annual maintenance of its debit cards. With effect from April 1, 2024, SBI charges Rs 200-425 plus GST as the annual maintenance fee for its Classic, Silver, Global Contactless, Yuva, Gold, Combo, My Card, Platinum, Pride, and Premium Business debit cards, instead of the Rs 125-325 (excluding GST) earlier, according to its website, sbi.co.in.
It also charges a fee of Rs 300 (excluding GST) for the replacement of any of its debit cards.
Here’s a lowdown on the various fees levied by SBI from its customers for the issuance, replacement, and maintenance of its debit cards:

SBI debit card charges: Duplicate PIN generation
Besides, SBI also levies a fee of Rs 50 (excluding GST) for generating a duplicate PIN for any of its debit cards, according to its website.
SBI debit card international transaction charges
State Bank of India also charges certain fees from its customers performing different types of transactions using its debit cards in foreign locations:
- Balance inquiry at ATMs: Rs 25 + GST
- ATM cash withdrawal transactions: Rs 100 (minimum) + 3.5 per cent of the transaction amount + GST
- Point of Sale(PoS)/e-commerce transactions: 3.0 per cent of the transaction amount + GST
