The greenfield expressway to be built from Raxaul to Haldia will promote trade and travel between Bihar, West Bengal and Nepal. This 719 km long expressway will be built at a cost of 60 thousand crores and is expected to be completed by 2028. With the construction of this road, travel from Deoghar and Dumka to Nepal, Kolkata, Patna and other places will become very easy.

New Expressway: To promote trade and facilitate travel between West Bengal, Bihar and Nepal, it has been decided to build a Greenfield Expressway from Raxaul in Bihar to Haldia Port in West Bengal.

This 719 km long six-lane expressway will be built at a cost of 60 thousand crores. It is expected to be completed by the year 2028. It will be constructed by NHAI. This highway will pass through Deoghar, Dumka, Jamtara districts of Jharkhand.

Journey to Nepal will be easy

With the construction of this road, travel from Deoghar and Dumka to Nepal, Kolkata, Patna and other places will become very easy. Along with this, travel to big cities like Patna and Kolkata will become simple and comfortable.

This will also benefit trade and tourism. Its DPR is ready. NHAI has sent a proposal to the ministry for approval of this road. As soon as approval is received, the work of land acquisition will start. As soon as the land is acquired, the work of road construction will be started.

Employment and business will increase:

The construction of this highway will promote transportation and trade between Nepal and India. There has been some change in the alignment of this road. Earlier it was going to go via Banka, Jamui. Apart from Deoghar, this highway will pass through Saraiyahat, Nonihat and Dumka city of Dumka. This road will be 65 km in Deoghar and 50 km in Dumka.

Bridge proposed between Begusarai and Suryagarha:

Many big bridges will also be constructed on this highway. Under this, there is also a proposal to build a bridge to connect Begusarai and Suryagarha on the river Ganga. With its construction, people will be able to complete the journey from Deoghar to Patna and Kolkata in just three hours.

Its construction will facilitate setting up of industries and factories in three states. Youth will get employment. At the same time, the problem of congestion and traffic jam will be solved to a great extent.

These districts will be benefited:

This highway will start from Raxaul in Bihar. From there it will pass through East Champaran, Shivhar, Samastipur, Begusarai, Suygarha, Jamui, Mallepur, Banka, Katoria.

Passing through Dumka district, it will go to Bengal via Mohanpur, Ghoramara, Sonaraithadhi, Palojori of Deoghar and Kundhit of Jamtara.

In Bengal, this road will go to Haldia Port via Bolpur, Arambag, Rajhatti, East Medinipur.

Thanks to the Prime Minister. Raxaul-Haldia Expressway will pass through Deoghar and Jamtara. Goods carrying vehicles will be able to reach Deoghar through this six lane road. This will promote many types of employment in the area. – Dr. Nishikant Dubey, Godda MP
