UPI Payment Users: According to a report by Business Standard, UPI users may soon get the benefit of Tap and Pay feature. Under this facility, people will not need to scan to make payment. Along with this, there will be no need for UPI ID, mobile number, bank account and QR code.
For UPI users, this facility can start from January 31, which was launched in September 2023. This facility is being introduced as a different method of payment.
UPI Tap and Pay facility will be available to everyone, but will support only NFC enabled devices. To avail this benefit you will have to go through a simple process.
- First of all, open the UPI app, then click on the UPI tab and pay service.
- After this, tab your device on the receiver device and enter the PIN for payment.
