Air India Express has announced plans to expand its domestic network in view of the summer travel season. The airline is set to launch 10 new domestic routes starting May 1st, providing direct connectivity between major metropolitan cities—such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata—and various state capitals, economic hubs, and tourist destinations.
Bookings for these new routes have already commenced. Passengers can book tickets through the airline’s official website, mobile app, and authorized travel agents.
The newly introduced flights include direct services between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, as well as flights connecting these two cities to Chandigarh and Dehradun. The airline has also launched a direct flight between Mumbai and Patna, thereby facilitating easier access to Eastern India.

- Mumbai-Ahmedabad – Daily
- Mumbai-Chandigarh – Daily
- Mumbai-Dehradun – Daily
- Mumbai-Patna – Daily
- Ahmedabad-Chandigarh – 6 times a week
- Ahmedabad-Dehradun – Daily
- Bagdogra-Pune – 5 times a week
- Bagdogra-Chennai – Resumed
- Hyderabad-Ranchi – Resumed
- Kochi-Delhi – Resumed
Increase in Flight Frequency Across the Network
With its latest expansion, Air India Express will significantly increase its weekly flights across several cities. According to Air India Express, the airline will operate flights to the following cities:
174 flights per week from Mumbai
393 flights from Delhi
108 flights from Bagdogra
96 flights from Pune
86 flights from Kolkata
62 flights from Kochi
A steady increase in the number of flights will also be observed in other cities such as Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and Patna.
Airline Network and Operations
Air India Express currently operates over 500 daily flights, connecting 45 domestic and 17 international destinations across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf region. The airline’s fleet comprises over 100 aircraft, including Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s.
