New Toll Charge: Important news for those who commute daily between Delhi and Meerut. Traveling on this route is now going to be more expensive. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced an increase in toll rates on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and NH-9, effective April 1st. This decision will directly impact the pockets of ordinary travelers.
According to the new rates, the one-way toll for light vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans from Delhi to Meerut has been increased from ₹170 to ₹175. If you return the same day, you will have to pay a total of ₹265. The monthly pass price has increased to ₹5,840, and a Fastag pass will now be available for ₹3,075.
Tolls have also increased on NH-9
Not only on the expressway, but also at the Chhijarsi toll plaza on NH-9, the toll rates have been increased. The toll here will now be ₹180 instead of ₹175. This means travelers will have to pay more on every route.
New fares from Meerut to various destinations
Meerut to Indirapuram: ₹120 (one way), ₹180 (both ways)
Meerut to Dundahera: ₹95 (one way), ₹140 (both ways)
Meerut to Dasna: ₹80 (one way), ₹120 (both ways)
Meerut to Rasulpur Sikrod: ₹60 (one way), ₹85 (both ways)
Meerut to Bhojpur: ₹25 (one way), ₹40 (both ways)
Heavy Vehicles Also Face Increased Burden
Tolls have also been increased for light commercial vehicles, minibuses, and goods vehicles. For Delhi to Meerut, these will have to pay ₹285 (one-way) and ₹425 (round-trip). The one-way toll for buses and trucks has been fixed at ₹595 and ₹890 for both ways. The rate is even higher for larger multi-axle vehicles, which can reach ₹1,700.
