New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat Express for the North-East Vande Bharat express region of the country. With the running of this train, the state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express will provide a means to travel with speed and comfort to the people of the region and this will also boost tourism in the region. Railways claim that this train connecting Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri will help save about an hour in travel time as compared to the fastest train currently running between the two places. Vande Bharat express train timings will cover the journey in 5 hours 30 minutes, while the current fastest train takes 6 hours 30 minutes to cover the same journey.

According to the IRCTC website, this Vande Bharat Express (22227) train will reach Guwahati at 6.10 am. It will reach the passengers to Guwahati at 11.40 am. According to the site it will run on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. According to IRCTC, the chair car fare will be Rs 1075. The fare for the executive car is Rs.2025. Catering is included in both.

In this train also, catering facility will be provided for both the trains.
