Srinagar To Katra Train: If you too have been waiting for a long time for a train to run between Katra and Srinagar, then this news is of use to you. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can flag off two special Vande Bharat trains running between Srinagar and Katra on June 6. With this, the project will be completed under which Kashmir will be connected to the rest of the country. This project was started 42 years ago. Work on the last 111 km long Katra-Banihal section of the 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramula Railway Line (USBRL) was completed in January.

The section is expected to be inaugurated on June 6

Earlier Prime Minister Modi was to inaugurate this section on April 19. But the program had to be canceled due to the forecast of bad weather. After this, the inauguration was delayed due to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 and tension between India and Pakistan. The news published in the Indian Express claims that this section can be inaugurated on June 6. Of the Vande Bharat trains that PM Modi will inaugurate, one will run from Katra to Srinagar and the other from Srinagar to Katra.

Earlier on Monday, the new Jammu Division of Indian Railways has been started. Its headquarters is in Jammu Tawi and it will work under Northern Railway. This is the 70th division of Indian Railways, which will oversee a large area. Under this division, those sections have been included which have been taken from the old Ferozepur Division. Let us tell you that Ferozepur Division is as old as Indian Railways.
