LIC office will now open for 5 days
Therefore, if you go to the LIC office after 10 May i.e. today, then you have kept in mind that you should go only between Monday and Friday, because the office will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. In fact, the central government has announced that now every Saturday will also be considered as Public Holiday for LIC.
Saturday will also be a holiday
According to the new rules of LIC, from May 10, LIC offices will work only 5 days a week. Now every Saturday there will be a holiday for employees, which till now was only on Sunday. But now the employees will get a weekly off of 2 days a week.
Changes to LIC’s Holiday Rules
LIC has also informed the people about this change in the working days of LIC by advertising in newspapers. According to the new rules, the office of LIC will be open from Monday to Friday after May 10, its timings will be from 10 am to 5:30 pm. So if you are going to LIC office for any work, then take care of both the day and the time, otherwise you will get the office closed and will have to return empty handed. The government has made these changes only last month. These changes have been made by the government on the basis of the powers received under section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881.
