NIT Nagpur has announced a bumper recruitment for 118 non-teaching posts of Group A, B and C, for which the application process will start from November 12 and will continue till December 3, 2025.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagpur has announced a large recruitment drive for non-teaching positions. The institute has released an official notification for 118 Group A, Group B, and Group C positions, and the online application process has begun on November 12, 2025. This time, several important Group A positions have been included in the recruitment drive, including Principal Scientific/Technical Officer, Superintending Engineer, Deputy Librarian, Senior SAS Officer, Medical Officer, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Librarian, and Scientific/Technical Officer. All of these positions are related to the administrative and technical needs of the institution and require high qualifications and experience. In Group B, the positions are for Technical Assistant/Junior Engineer, Library and Information Assistant, and Superintendent.
These roles will offer opportunities to handle technical and management-related tasks. Group C has the largest number of vacancies, including positions such as Senior Technician, Senior Assistant, Technician, Junior Assistant, and Lab/Office Attendant. These positions don’t require much experience, making them a good opportunity for new candidates.
As for the application fee, candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay ₹1,500 for Group A, while the fee is ₹1,000 for Group B and Group C. Exemptions will apply for SC, ST, and PWD candidates as per the rules. Candidates selected will receive attractive salaries. Principal Scientific/Technical Officers will receive pay level 14, Superintending Engineers will receive pay level 13, while Deputy Librarians and Senior SAS Officers will receive pay level 12.
Medical officers, assistant registrars, assistant librarians, and scientific/technical officers will receive pay level 10. Technical assistants, library and information assistants, and superintendents will receive pay level 6, senior technicians and senior assistants will receive pay level 4, technicians and junior assistants will receive pay level 3, while lab and office attendants will receive pay level 1.

Regarding qualifications, Group A positions require a BE/B.Tech, M.Sc, MCA, MD, or a master’s degree from a recognized institution. Group B positions require a graduation or diploma from a recognized institution. Group C positions require a 12th-grade degree plus an ITI or diploma in a relevant trade.
