Mumbai: After opening your account with any bank, debit card is important for easy and convenient transactions. Now you have to go to the ATM or branch to generate your new debit card PIN. But now there is no need to do so because State Bank of India (SBI) is bringing a special facility for its customers in which they can generate PINs without going to any branch or ATM. To generate PIN through internet banking, first you have to go to www.onlinesbi.com. There you log in and enter the user ID and password. Next, select ‘ATM Card Service’ under the ‘E-Services’ tab from the given options. Then click on ATM PIN Generation option. You can generate ATM PIN through two options. OTP and password will be important in this. If you choose the OTP option, you will get OTP on the registered mobile number.
Then select the Savings Account option. You will then be asked for the password for the ATM card. After submitting it, you fill in the first two digits of the new PIN and the remaining two digits will be sent to you via SMS. Combine the first two digits and the second two digits of the message received on the mobile number and click submit. Your card will then be linked to the account.
