NPS New Rules: Now subscribers will be able to withdraw Rs 5 lakh from their account, see details here

Under this scheme, the amount up to Rs 5 lakh can be allowed to be withdrawn completely at one go.




New Delhi. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has released the data regarding the National Pension System (NPS). It has been said that the number of subscribers in the NPS scheme has increased to 4.35 crore. In the same period a year ago, the number of subscribers associated with both the schemes was 3.59 crore. You can also take advantage of this scheme by joining the National Pension System (NPS). Soon, customers will get approval to withdraw the entire fund in this scheme.

Recently news has come that the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has planned to provide a new option for the pensioners employees. Under this scheme, the amount up to Rs 5 lakh can be allowed to be withdrawn completely at one go.

Be able to withdraw everything up to Rs 5 lakh,

in the midst of the second wave of corona virus in the country, some customers will get relief by withdrawing Rs 5 lakh. Under the existing rules, NPS holders can withdraw up to Rs 2 lakh. Further, pensioners can withdraw 60 percent of their contribution while they have to keep 40 percent as a deposit.

There are two types of NPS accounts

There are 2 types of NPS accounts. One is Tier 1 and the other Tier 2. In which Tier 1 is purely a pension account and Tier 2 is an investment account. The average return on existing annuities is around 5.5 per cent. With income tax on the amount of inflation and pension, the actual return for the subscribers is often reduced. Under the new rules, NPS holders can invest their money only where they get better returns.
