CUET UG Registration 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a new website for the 2025 Common University Test Undergraduate (CUET). The official link for CUET UG 2025 is cuet.nta.nic.in. Nothing is visible on the website right now, but the CUET UG 2025 application notice will be released soon.

On the website, NTA has also provided phone numbers and email IDs in case of any problem in depositing the application money. This time, the transaction money can be deposited through State Bank of India, Canara Bank and HDFC Bank.

Apart from this, the website also provides a list of central, state, private, deemed-to-be and other government institutions that will participate in CUET UG 2025. Students are requested to check whether the university they wish to take admission in will accept CUET scores for admission or not.

What’s new in CUET UG 2025?

Following the recommendations of the expert panel, CUET-UG will be a computer-based test (CBT), different from the earlier hybrid mode, and students will be allowed to appear in subjects regardless of what they studied in Class 12, University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadeesh Kumar said.

The UGC also announced that the number of subjects will be reduced from 63 to 37 and admissions to programmes in the removed subjects will be based on General Aptitude Test (GAT) scores.

Instead of separate tests for 33 subjects, tests will be given for only 13 languages - Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Domain-specific subjects have been reduced from 29 to 23. The domain-specific papers that have been removed are Entrepreneurship, Educational Qualification, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Law Studies and Engineering Graphics.

The duration of the test has also been made equal for all papers and standardised at 60 minutes, he said, adding that the number of questions has also been made equal for all papers. The concept of optional questions has also been eliminated in the exam and all questions will now be compulsory, Kumar said.

In 2024, the exam was conducted in both online and pen-and-paper mode in multiple shifts from May 15-31, but the declaration of the result scheduled for June 30 was delayed.
