The Ministry of Transport has again issued a major advisory. You may have to pay 2 years in jail and a heavy fine of Rs 15,000 for breaking the traffic rules on Holi. Actually, the Ministry of Transport has warned those who drive drunk before Holi. The Transport Ministry has said that celebrate Holi festival with colors, but also take care of safety, do not drive a vehicle after drinking alcohol. Celebrate the festival with open heart, but always be careful!
According to section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act, if you are caught driving on alcohol on Holi, then you may face a jail term of 10,000 or 6 months for doing so for the first time and then 2 years in jail if you are caught making such mistake again May have to pay a fine of Rs 15,000.
Soft copy of documents related to driving
Under the new traffic rules, the driver has to store all his documents on mobile. With this, they will not have to physically keep any documents with them. If the traffic police asks for a driving license or other documents, the driver can show a soft copy.
Road Safety Rules 2020
Under the new law, people who violate the driving license rules will be fined Rs 1 lakh. Driving at high speed on the road will attract a fine of Rs 1,000 to 2,000.
According to the road safety rules, if a minor is caught driving, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 and the registration of his car will be canceled and the driving license of the minor will not be made till the age of 25.
Under the New Traffic Rules, now those who talk on mobile while driving, traffic jumps, those driving in the wrong direction, those driving dangerously and those who needlessly block traffic will have to pay heavy fines.
