61-year-old teacher is undergoing treatment for depression in Tilak Nagar. She was hospitalized for four days due to depression. The vicious thugs have done this for them. The female teacher’s lifetime income crossed nearly 41 lakh rupees from her account in one stroke. Only 141 rupees left in the account. Whereas women never did net banking, nor online transactions. The victim came to know when she had come to update the passbook. PCR call made. Police arrived. On the statement of the victim woman, Tilak Nagar Police has registered a case and started investigation.

According to the information, 61-year-old Harpal lives with the Kaur family in Prem Nagar, Tilak Nagar. The family consists of husband Daljit Singh, elder son Ramandeep Singh, younger son Sahib Singh. Daljit Singh retires from the DDA as a gazetted officer. Harpal Kaur was a teacher in the government school Tilak Nagar. Retired on 31 December 2020. Harpal Kaur told that I and my husband have a joint account in Indian Bank of Tilak Nagar. There was about 41.5 lakh rupees in the account. My husband and I had a whole life of accumulated capital. Gratuity, GPF and retirement money were there. Took it all out. I have an account with this bank since 1985. Earlier there was a salary account, after retirement, it turned into a pension account.

Accusing the bank employees, Kaur said that the employees changed personal details without my knowledge. Such as a mobile number. On March 3, 2021, the first mobile number was changed. Then on 5 March 2021, the facility of e-banking and mobile banking was started by the bank on the same number. The bankers gave all the facilities without any verification. Whereas, how many documents are required in the bank for small changes. This is a joint account, and to change the address from the phone number to the signature of both account holders is required. But I do not know how the bank employees did such a great negligence. After this, between March 5 to March 21, there were three online transactions from the account through IMPS / NEFT. When my husband and I went to enter the bank passbook on March 24, there was only 141 rupees in my account. Withdrawing the complete details from the bankers, Immediately went to the police station and got the FIR done. But no appropriate action has been taken so far. It has been 20 days. But nothing has been known. Apart from the police, they have also complained to the Managing Director of Indian Bank. No positive response was received. Now in this age, where should we eat. The police station is tired of chopping.

On

early investigation, it has been found out that a simulator was activated by net banking by taking a SIM in the name of a woman and a SIM was purchased in the name of Harpal Kaur. On March 5, the SIM was registered there. So that messages do not come on their mobiles. Passbook was taken on March 5, net banking was also activated. Almost money was withdrawn from the daily account from him, transfers were also made. Troubled Harpal Kaur was in such depression that she had to be hospitalized for four days. Police is currently investigating the case. At the same time, the victim’s family has sent letters from the RBI to the bank, including the entire incident. The family has expressed suspicion that the swindle was caused by the connivance of an employee of the bank.
