What is a check? What is check

A check is a piece of paper given by a bank to its account holder, which unconditionally orders the bank that I promise to pay so much money from one person to another. A check is a payment letter in which payment is made by writing the name of a person’s name, the name of an institution or firm. How much money has to be paid in the check with the name of the person, it has to be written both in words and figures. It is also mandatory to sign both the front and the back of the check. For your information, let us know that the same signatures are to be done in the check which were done at the time of opening the account. If your signature does not match, the bank may cancel your check.

Order Check is also known as Order Check or Overseas Check. The signature of the person in whose name the check is issued, is also authenticated on the reverse of the check, on behalf of the issuer of the check. Therefore, this check can only be done by the person with whom the name check was issued.

  • There is not much risk in an order check. Because not everyone can withdraw money from it.
  • At the time of payment of the order check, the bank can ask for proof of identity of the person. Which can be anything like Aadhaar card, Voter card, Passport, Driving license etc.

How to make Bearer Check

If you have a Bearer Check then you can easily convert it into an Order Check or Account Payee Check.

  • In the Bearer Check, where Pay ………………………………… or bearer is written, cut the or bearer out of it. In this way, that check will be converted to Order Check. Also, in whose name the check is issued, he can receive his cash payment.
  • In Bearer Check, draw two parallel slanted lines on the top left side. It then turns into a cross check or A / C Payee check. This payment can be made only in the open bank account of the person in whose name the check has been issued. There is no cash payment mechanism applicable.
