We require a PAN card for many types of financial operations. Many times it happens that due to lack of PAN card, the essential financial functions of the people get delayed or they get stuck. If you too have urgently needed a PAN card and you have not yet made a PAN card, then there is nothing to worry about. You can have your e-PAN card made online in a few minutes. For this, you do not need to fill a long-form application. You can make a PAN card only through Aadhaar number. Under this, an immediate PAN (Permanent Account Number) is issued through Aadhaar based e-KYC.
People possessing a valid Aadhaar card can get their PAN card made in less than ten minutes under this facility. This is a completely free facility. You have to apply for PAN card from income tax website. You will only need to enter a 12-digit Aadhaar number to apply for e-PAN. However, for this the mobile number needs to be linked with the Aadhaar number. Let’s know what the process is.
Step 1. E-filing website of Income Tax Department www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Go to
Step 2. Now go to the ‘Quick Links’ section on the home page and click on ‘Instant PAN through Aadhaar’.
Step 3. Then click on the link to ‘Get New PAN’. This will take you to the Instant Pan Request webpage.
Step 4. Now enter your Aadhaar number and confirm by entering captcha code.
Step 5. Now click on Generate Aadhar OTP. You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.
Step 6. Enter OTP in the text box and click on ‘Validate Aadhaar OTP’. After this, click on the Continue button.
Step 7. Now you will be redirected to the PAN request submission page, here you have to confirm your Aadhaar details and accept the terms and conditions.
Step 8. After this, click on ‘Submit PAN Request’.
Step 9. Now after this an enrollment number will be generated. You note down this enrollment number.
This is how to download pan card
You can again go to the ‘Quick Links’ section on the homepage of the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department and click on ‘Instant PAN through Aadhaar’. After this you click on the ‘Check Status / Download PAN’ button here. Here you can check the status of your PAN card by entering the Aadhaar number and captcha code and download it.
