IRCTC has finally launched a new payment gateway for ticket booking users through its mobile and website. Some banking information will have to be provided for ticket booking payment through iPay.

New Delhi: Indian Railway Tourism and Catering Corporation ( IRCTC ) released its official website sometime back. Along with this, the Rail Connect app was also replaced with new interfaces and features. Now IRCTC has launched a new payment gateway IRCTC-iPay which will make it easier for train passengers to pay.




To make payment through IRCTC-iPay, users will have to give permission and details to use debit card of their UPI bank account or any other payment form. Users will also be able to use these details for future transactions on IRCTC.

IRCTC website or book tickets by mobile app IRCTC iPayInstant refund will also be available through According to IRCTC, for the AutoPay app facility, users will be able to book tickets and in the event of cancellation of the ticket the refund process will also be easy. IRCTC intends to increase users’ trust in the app. The new payment gateway will also save users time.

Through IRCTC, users can also book bus tickets. Last week, IRCTC launched the online bus ticket booking service. According to IRCTC, bus ticket booking service has started from 29 January. Users can go to https://www.bus.irctc.co.in/home to book bus tickets online.

Users have to enter their departure and arrival details. Passengers can select seats and buses as per their convenience. For booking bus tickets, users will also be able to book State Road Transport Corporation buses like UPSRTC, GSRTC, OSRTC, APSRTC and Kerala RTC. This feature is expected to be integrated into the IRCTC mobile app by the first week of March, so that ordinary people will be able to book bus tickets through mobile as well.
