Despite the surge in crude oil prices, India’s oil marketing companies have not increased the rates of petrol and diesel today. According to the rates released at 6 am today, the retail price of petrol at Indian Oil pumps in Delhi is ₹94.77 and diesel is ₹87.67 per liter. Let us tell you that in March 2024, the prices of petrol and diesel were reduced by ₹2 per liter. There has been no change since then.
Crude oil prices are once again on the rise. Brent crude is once again approaching $100 per barrel. According to Bloomberg, Brent crude rose more than 6 percent this morning to reach $97.69. Meanwhile, WTI also rose nearly 6 percent to $92.41. It’s worth noting that every $1 increase in crude oil adds approximately $2 billion to India’s import bill annually.

In Chennai, a commercial cylinder costs ₹2,043.50 and a domestic cylinder costs ₹928.50.
