Pink Saheli Smart Card: To make travel easier and safer for women in Delhi, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is making bus services digital and more organized. In this direction, DTC is now going to introduce Pink, Blue and Orange smart cards for bus travel, whose official launch will be done on March 2. It is a digital smart card that serves as the cardholder’s identity (ID). It contains the person’s name, photo, QR code, and other basic details, making bus travel convenient and ticketless.
What is the eligibility for the Pink Saheli Smart Card?
Certain requirements have been established for the Pink Saheli Smart Card. The woman or transgender person must be a resident of Delhi, be over 12 years of age, and have a valid ID proof, such as an Aadhaar card or voter ID. Additionally, providing proof of residential address in Delhi is also mandatory. With these documents, the Pink Saheli Smart Card can be easily obtained.
How to Apply for the Pink Saheli Smart Card?
You can apply for the Pink Saheli Smart Card both online and offline.
Offline applications require women and transgender travelers to visit designated counters with their Delhi Aadhaar card. To ensure easy access to card applications across the city, special counters will be set up at the District Magistrate (DM) office, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office, bus depots, and Common Service Centers (CSCs). These counters will be set up at around 50 locations, including SDM offices, bus depots, bus stands and select banks.
