Montana Plane Crash: A plane crashed near Kalispell City Airport in Montana on Monday afternoon local time. According to a report by NBC Montana, a small plane crashed while approaching the airport. Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino confirmed that emergency response was launched immediately after the incident after receiving a distress call at 2:08 pm. Initial footage from the scene showed black smoke and flames.
The plane caught fire immediately after the collision and the flames quickly spread across the tarmac and a nearby grassy field. However, local police later confirmed that rescue workers successfully controlled the fire.
Kalispell Fire Department Chief Jay Hagen said there were four people on board the plane at the time of the accident, including the pilot and three passengers. Fortunately, all four suffered minor injuries and were treated on the spot after rescue.

Initial information suggests that the plane may have collided with another plane on the taxiway. Reports also indicate that the plane may have had a technical fault while approaching. Emergency teams and local firefighters also arrived immediately to handle the situation.
Representative Ryan Zinke has confirmed that no injuries have been reported. He said, “My staff has been there since the plane crash at Kalispell City Airport. As far as we know, no one was injured by the grace of God. We will do everything possible to help the local authorities and the airport deal with this unfortunate accident.”
Officials are currently investigating the accident, due to which it is not yet known which planes collided. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will take over the investigation.
