PM Kisan: Farmers got 9th installment money, check balance immediately

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transferred about Rs 19,500 crore to more than 9.75 crore farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme through video conferencing on Monday. This money has been released under the 9th installment of PM Kisan Yojana, which will directly reach the bank accounts of the farmers. Let us tell you that under PM Kisan Yojana, the eligible beneficiary farmer families are given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually. This money is given in three equal installments of Rs.2000 each. One installment is given to the farmers every four months. The PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) said that today an amount of more than Rs 19,500 crore was transferred to more than 9.75 crore beneficiary farmer families.




How to check balance

Firstly visit the official website of the government (https://pmkisan.gov.in/). Click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option in the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the top right side of the website. Now you will get three options – Aadhar Number, Account Number and Mobile Number. Select any one option to track your payment status. Then click on ‘Get Data’ from the drop-down menu. PM-Kisan status and all transaction details will be available on your screen.

How money comes in the account

PM Kisan Yojana money is transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries electronically through the State National Account on the basis of their account number and IFSC code. The amount due to the beneficiaries under the scheme is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into their bank account.

How much money was transferred

With the 9th installment, the government has so far transferred around Rs 1.57 lakh crore to farmer families under PM-KISAN. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Ministers of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary and Shobha Karandlaje as well as Agriculture Secretary Sanjay Agarwal were present in today’s conferencing. PM Modi credited the farmers for working hard and producing a bumper last year despite the hurdles faced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mission Honey Bee

PM Modi also talked to many beneficiaries. In his address, the Prime Minister also talked about ‘Mission Honey Bee’ and saffron production in Kashmir. On the other hand, Tomar expressed concern over the shortage of edible oils and pulses and said that the government is taking measures to boost domestic production so as to reduce dependence on imports. The Prime Minister also talked about the role of farmers in the future of the country.

He said that there is a need to give guidance and direction to the farmers so that they can tackle the new challenges and make use of the new changes.
