PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: An important notification has been issued by the government for the beneficiary farmers of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Crores of farmers across the country have been waiting for the 21st installment for a long time. Under this scheme, the central government gives financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers. This installment is sent to the bank account of the farmers in three equal installments, that is, each installment is of Rs 2,000.
What is said in the notification?
The central government has stated in a notification issued on the official website of PM Kisan that some irregular cases have been identified in which farmers who have bought or owned land after February 1, 2019. Families where more than one member is taking advantage of the scheme. For example, both husband and wife or parents and their sons and daughters above 18 years of age are taking installment money together. That is, many claimants are taking advantage of the same land.
In such cases, the installment has been stopped for the time being. Farmers have been appealed to check their eligibility. For this, the service of Know Your Status i.e. KYC is being available. It can be used through PM Kisan website, mobile app or Kisan e-Mitra chatbot.
Why is the installment being stopped?
The government says that physical verification of such cases will be done. Till the investigation is not completed, the next installment will not be sent to the accounts of those farmers. Its purpose is to ensure that only those people get the benefit of the scheme who are fully eligible for it.
How many installments have been released so far?
The government has released 20 installments so far. Recently the 20th installment was transferred to the bank accounts of farmers on 2 August 2025.
When can the 21st installment come?
Regarding the next installment, farmers are hoping that they will get it before Diwali. But if we look at the track of previous years, the installment can come in December 2025. The government releases installments every 4 months.
