PM Kisan: Will PM Kisan Samman Fund increase in budget 2021-22

PM Kisan: Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi every Modi government gives Rs 6000 to farmers in three installments of Rs 2000-2000. So far, 11 crore 47 lakh farmers are availing the benefits of this scheme. Will the Modi government increase its amount in the general budget to be presented on February 1? This question is in the mind of millions of farmers.

At the same time, experts say that the government should give additional funds and incentives for indigenous agricultural research, oilseed production, food processing and organic farming in the upcoming budget for the overall development of the agricultural sector. Industry experts said that the direct cash transfer (DBT) scheme should be used to give more support to farmers rather than subsidizing them.

Ajay Shriram, chairman and senior managing director of DCM Shriram, said that the DBT mechanism in the PM-Kisan scheme should be properly prepared and used to give more support to farmers in return for subsidizing over time. Shriram said that it is up to the farmers to decide how they want to use this money properly.

With the benefits of DBT, farmers can buy seeds, use new technology, make better use of water and so on. The food processing industry has played an important role in getting better prices for the farmer and reducing middlemen. The budget should provide interest incentives, tax cuts, use of technology and special incentives for food processing.
