PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana: Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana (PM-KMY), farmers are given a pension of Rs 3,000 per month.
PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana: The Central Government is running many schemes for the benefit of farmers, one of them is ‘Kisan Mandhan Yojana’. Under this scheme, farmers who have crossed 60 years of age can get financial assistance. Generally, when farmers become unable to do farming in old age, they have to depend on others for financial assistance, keeping this in mind the Central Government has started ‘Kisan Maandhan Yojana’.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY) was launched on September 12, 2019, with the objective of providing social security through pension to small and marginal farmers (SMF). Under this scheme, there is a provision to give Rs 3 thousand per month to the farmers.
At the same time, if the beneficiary farmer dies due to any reason, there is also a provision to give Rs 1500 per month to his wife.
Premium of Rs 55 per month
Farmers between the age of 18 to 40 years can register themselves to avail the benefits of this scheme. Irrespective of the age at which farmers become a part of this scheme, they have to deposit Rs 55 to Rs 200 per month. After this, after crossing the age of 60 years, farmers are given Rs 3,000 per month as pension, with this they can meet their financial needs.
Big relief to small farmers
In such a situation, when the food providers of the country are facing death due to financial crisis, this scheme is proving beneficial for the farmer brothers. The benefit of ‘Kisan Maandhan’ scheme is available only to those farmers who have 2 hectares or less land. Small and marginal farmers can easily take advantage of this scheme.
How to apply
To apply, it is mandatory for the farmer to have Aadhar card, mobile number, passport size photo, identity card, age certificate, income certificate, farm Khasra Khatauni and bank account passbook.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, farmer brothers will first have to visit the official website of ‘Kisan Maandhan Yojana’. After this you will have to go to the home page and login. After logging in, farmers will have to enter their mobile number. After this, the necessary information asked for in it will have to be given. Then you have to click on Generate OTP. After this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number which you will have to enter. After completing all these processes, you will have to click on the submit button.
