On the occasion of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi met briefly. The two were seen conversing with each other. A video of this interaction is going viral.
A video featuring Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi—who typically launch scathing attacks on each other in Parliament and at election rallies—is making significant headlines on social media. The video dates back to April 11, when PM Modi was on his way to pay floral tributes at the statue of the great social reformer, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
The video shows Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, and former Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh standing at the Prerna Sthal within the Parliament complex. The Prime Minister greets everyone one by one and then pauses in front of Rahul Gandhi. Subsequently, the two begin to converse. While it is unclear what exactly was discussed between them, the video clearly shows PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi engaging in a brief discussion for a few seconds.
