PM Modi to offer prayers at Yashoreswari and Orkandi temple in Bangladesh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin the second day of his Bangladesh visit on Saturday by offering prayers at the Yashoreshwari and Orakandi temples in southwestern Shatkhira and Gopalganj. Prime Minister Modi, who was busy on the first day of his visit to Bangladesh, will leave for Ishwarpur village today and will offer prayers at Yashoreshwari Kali temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India and neighboring countries.




He will also visit the memorial of ‘Rashtrabandhu’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ at Tungipara in Gopalganj district. Bangladesh officials have renovated the Yashoreswari temple in Satkhira ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit.
