PNB Cheque Book Update: Punjab National Bank (PNB) is the second largest bank in the country. Oriental Bank and United Bank of India were merged with PNB on 1 April 2020.
PNB cheque Book Update: If you are a customer of Punjab National Bank (PNB), then be alert. PNB has said that the existing chequebooks of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India will be closed from next month. Actually, on 1 April 2020, Oriental Bank (OBC) and United Bank of India (UBI) were merged with PNB. Now everything from the customer to the branch of both the banks belong to PNB. So, if you have an old cheque book from both these banks, then apply for a new cheque book, so that you do not face any problem in further transactions.
PNB said on Twitter, “The old cheque
book of e-OBC and e-UBI will be closed from October 1, 2021. Please replace the oldcheque book of EOBC and EUBI with the new cheque book of PNB. This cheque book is updated by PNB Will come with IFSC code and MIRC.”
PNB tweeted that the customer can apply for a new cheque book through a bank branch or bank ATM or PNB ONE. Apart from this, customers can also apply for updated new cheque book of PNB through internet banking.
Information will be available on toll free number
PNB has said that the IFSC and MIRC codes of PNB will be written on the new cheque book. A toll free number 18001802222 has also been issued by the bank. Customers can call on this number to get details about the cheque book.
