PPO Number: How To Get PPO Number Using Bank Account Number Or PF Number?

A Pension Payment Order number, or PPO number, is a 12-digit number that facilitates retirees in receiving their pension benefit. The PPO number is useful when applying for a pension. Furthermore, this PPO number must be stated every year when submitting a life certificate. A PPO number serves as a point of reference for any contact with the Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO). If a pensioner forgets his or her PPO number or has to locate it, he or she can quickly get it by providing either the bank account number, which is linked to EPF, or the Member ID, which is the pensioner’s EPFO PF number. To get your PPO number using your bank account number or PF number, follow the steps outlined below.

  • Steps to get PPO number onlineVisit www.epfindia.gov.in and click on the ‘Pensioners Portal’ option. It is a dedicated platform for pensioners that offers a variety of services such as Jeevan Pramaan Enquiry. Know your PPO Number, PPO Enquiry, as well as your pension status.
  • Now click on ‘Know your PPO No.’ and enter either your ‘Bank Account Number’ or ‘Member ID (PF Number)’.
  • The PPO number along with other relevant details will be displayed on the screen after you successfully submit the above required details.

EPFO published an informative guide on Twitter that explains how to get your PPO number using your bank account number or PF number. Here’s the link to the tweet:
