In an episode of Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat, Priyanka talked about her relationship with Shahid. She was asked about the rumors of Shahid opening the door to Priyanka’s house early in the morning when Income Tax officials raided her residence in Mumbai.
Priyanka told that since Shahid was her neighbour, she decided to call him and he came to stay with her during the whole process. During that time some reports claimed that Priyanka’s mother was not at home and her father was out of town.
Later, Rajat also told her about the I-T team finding Rs 6 crore under her mattress, on which the desi girl denied the allegations. The PC said that she was proud of being one of the highest taxpayers in India and was not worried when the I-T team visited her home.
According to The Times of India, I-T department sources said, “Actor Shahid, who also stays at Raj Classic on Yari Road, was present at the actress’ house when I-T officials rang her doorbell. Both are quite shocked by the raid. Shahid could not leave immediately. That’s why he stayed there for a while.”
Another source close to Priyanka confirmed and said, “Yes, Shahid was present at Priyanka’s house when the I-T raid was conducted.” According to Mumbai Mirror, Priyanka’s parents, who live in another apartment on the same floor.
