Properties Registrar Update: You will be free from going to the registrar’s office to register your property, check the details here

Properties Registrar Update: The state government has given the facility of digital registration of properties of development authorities including Awas Vikas Parishad. Such registrations will now be done in the development authority and Awas Vikas Parishad only. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

At present, one has to go to the registrar’s office to get all types of properties registered. There is a system of physical verification in front of the camera on the spot. The person registering the property is questioned about the transaction and is also asked whether there is any kind of pressure on him. After this, both the buyer and the seller sign.

Due to this, both the buyer and the seller face problems. To eliminate this, it has been decided to start the facility of digital registry in the Housing Development Council and all the authorities as a pilot project. This new system will curb rigging and also reduce the crowd at the registry offices. According to Stamp and Registration Minister Ravindra Jaiswal, in the second phase, there is a plan to provide the facility of home registration on the lines of foreign countries.

Stamps up to Rs 500 on mobile

The cabinet has also given the facility of self printing of stamps up to Rs 500. Under this, you have to go to the website of Stock Holding Corporation and buy the stamp of whatever amount you want. While making online payment of that amount, you will have to feed your name and the reason for buying the stamp. After this, a unique number will be generated as soon as the money is deposited. Then it can be printed from anywhere by taking it on any device like mobile or laptop. This will save the hassle of searching for small stamps from villages and towns. Nearly 50 per cent of the total stamp sales are stamps smaller than Rs 500.
